Summary :
One of a pair of cairns (PRN 4552m). Grass-grown near-circular bank with a gap at the NE side. A few sandstone and limestone blocks (up to 0.4m across) within the ring at the E side, just E of entrance, also a large sandstone slab c 1.1m long leans inwards from inner side above one of the blocks.

Description :
One of a pair of cairns (PRN 4552m). Grass-grown near-circular bank with a gap at the NE side. A few sandstone and limestone blocks (up to 0.4m across) within the ring at the E side, just E of entrance, also a large sandstone slab c 1.1m long leans inwards from inner side above one of the blocks; couple of rather smaller stones at W side of ring. There is a triangle of raised ground sloping down from the bank into the ring at the SW.
On a gentle hillslope, approx 45m from the other cairn of the pair (PRN 564m). Dimensions: 10.7m (NE-SW) by 9.4m
(1956) A grass- and turf-covered cairn with a scooped-out top. Has a diameter of 11.0m and a height of 0.4m. There are several large stones exposed. (Source 01)
(1966/1976) On level ground; bracken-grown and in poor condition. A slightly oval ring-cairn 9.8m long NE-SW by 8.5m wide, externally defined by a bank 1.5-2.1m wide and 0.3m high, in which one inner kerbstone is visible on the E. (Source 02)
(1979) The cairn, situated in pasture on a ridge-top, is generally as described by RCAHMW (Source 03)
(1985) (2) is round, with a low bank c 0.5m high, 1.5m wide, turf-covered, with a gap on the E side. (Source 04)
