Moel y Gaer Bodfari hillfort

Description : Multiple period site comprising of a hillfort of potentially Bronze Age origin and possible Roman occupation attested by small number of surface finds including a potentially non prehistoric stone quern which is now lost, some filint flakes, a Roman intaglio and a stone disc which is possibly a gaming piece.
Phase 1 of survey and excavations by University of Oxford which were carried out between 2011 and 2016. Possibly constructed in a univallate form initially with later multivallate enhancements in the first half of the 4th century cal BC (Lock & Pouncett, 2016).
