Neolithic partially polished stone axehead of c.3,500 to 2, 200 BC. The axe is complete and is comparatively short (with an overall length of 127.5mm and weighing 393.7g) The butt is of pointed form but has some rounding and evidence of battering scars. Both sides are near-straight, gently convex and gradually divergent to the blade edge (with a blade width of 65.5mm). The blade edge is even with a greater degree of curvature at the sides and is moderately straight at the centre. Both faces are convex across both their lengths and widths, giving the axe an oval body section (Huckfield 2016).
