Geology Carboniferous Limestone.
Workings The Pwllmelyn Mine worked the Caleb Bell cross-course, which ran in a north-south direction. Only shaft and spoil evidence remain in the vicinity of Pwllmelyn Cottage (SJ18327162) and Bryn Teg (SJ18351470).
Substantial shafts lying on this vein, which intersects the Caleb-bell cross-course, are located at SJ18377198, SJ18367184, SJ18387153, SJ18437153, SJ18417142, SJ18397116, and SJ18427114.
