Description : Lead (1810)
Geology Carboniferous Limestone.
Workings The public footpath leading up from the Old Post Office is the entrance track to the mine. Evidence remains as a small area of overgrown workings, consisting of three recognisable shafts and areas of overgrown spoil heaps.
The ore was raised from a small depth in 1810 with no vein found (Smith 1921).
