The churchyard is a curved polygon, the long straight sides being those adjacent to the roads; the E side was more curved in 1839 when then tithe map was drawn up, before it was straightened in connection with the development of the road. The S half flat, slopes down gently at to N. The present boundary consists mainly of a coursed rubble wall; the S side has a fence, with an external ditch which continues outside the wall to the W.
