Summary :
Former copper works rolling mill building, currently used as the Swansea Museum store. The building is listed for its extreme rarity as a surviving copper rolling mill building and its group value with other works buildings on the site.

Description :
Former copper works rolling mill building, currently used as the Swansea Museum store.

The rolling mill was first established in 1828 as a part of the Morfa Copper Works (PRN 00841w), latterly Yorkshire Imperial Metals (PRN 08091w). The building is listed for its extreme rarity as a surviving copper rolling mill building and its group value with other works buildings on the site.

It is a rectangular single story building of masonry and iron frame/brick infill construction, aligned approximately north-south and measuring 88m by 23m. It has undergone many alterations over six constructional phases. It ceased to be used as a rolling mill building in the 1930s.
