Description :
A circular, tapered, stand alone chimney stack, located to the west of the Vivian Engine House which it served. The chimney is thought to be contemporary with the engine house, built in 1861-2 as a part of the historic Hafod Copper Works site.

The chimney is constructed of red brick with numerous iron bands and a corbled ring at its neck. It stands on an octagonal plinth with a semi-circular rake hole in its western face.

A 3m high red brick wall runs west from chimney, curving around to the north towards the site of the boiler house (PRN 08290w). It is thought to be a revetment wall against the upward slope to the west and contemporary with the chimney.

The chimney is listed as an impressive Victorian industrial chimney and for its group value with other listed buildings on the site.
