Summary :
The site of the later Clydach iron works and mills is located at Dan-y-coed. By 1905 the site had been cleared and redeveloped as a Woollen Factory. Subsequently this area was entirely reclaimed and is now an area of housing.

Description :
The site of the later Clydach iron works and mills is located at Dan-y-coed. By 1905 the site had been cleared and redeveloped as a Woollen Factory. Subsequently this area was entirely reclaimed and is now an area of housing. Adjacent to the site of the rolling mills is a massive dump of slag from Clydach Ironworks ‘the flat’, which crosses the valley, the river
culverted underneath (Roberts 2005).
