Summary :
Described as being 'twenty workmen's houses' in 1813 when they were mentioned as part of the sale of the Llanelly forge and associated plant (van Laun). The central row have steeper pitched roofs and may well originally have been thatched, possibly dating from the period of the 18th century charcoal fired Llanelly blast-furnace.
