Summary :
A group of coke ovens remaining from a large coking complex, built in about the 1840s. At least 8 of the ovens are complete with their stone and brick vaults, parts of their firebrick linings, coke caked walls and flues. Many more are likely to be intact

Description :
A group of coke ovens remaining from a large coking complex, built in about the 1840s and supplied the Cefn Cwsg ironworks. At least 8 of the ovens are complete with their stone and brick vaults, parts of their firebrick linings, coke caked walls and flues. Many more are likely to be intact below the undergrowth and fill. (Roberts & Sherman, 2004)
