Description :
This site comprises a Post-Medieval Lime kiln situated within the community of Landore. It is first shown on the 1st edition OS map of 1879. The exterior of the kiln is a stone built square structure measuring approximately 5.5m by 5.5m, and is currently approximately 4.5m high. The original height of the complete structure is no longer not clear. Internal parts of the kiln chamber, flues and circular chimney are constructed of brick. After its functional life, the interior of the flue/chimney was completely back-filled (Miller & Pamment 2016).

The kiln is the last surviving example of 50 that used to line the canal in the mid-19th century (Dyfed Archaeological Trust, 2008, Cambria Archaeology 2002).
