(1957) The cairn has a diameter of 15m and a maximum height of 2m. The cist is in the NE of the cairn and is 3m from the outer edge. It has the average measurements of 1.5m by 1.1m and is 0.3m thick. A roughly circular sheepfold with dry-stone walling has been constructed to the NE of the cairn. (Source 05)

(1975) At c.555m OD, on common land on the summit of Blorenge mountain, a limestone outcrop with a SW-NE orientation, looking much like a ramp, with wide views all around; a large conical mound, much interfered with and crowned by two small pyramids. The visible cist was opened in 1873 by a group of antiquaries, but no more details were given. Roughly 14.5m in diameter at a height of c.1.8m. (Source 01)
