Summary :
Llantarnum Abbey, Magna Porta is situated on the southern side of Llantarnam Abbey. The Cadw Listed Building Description is as follows:

'The garden walls to the south and east sides of the gardens at Llantarnam Abbey are similar to the low walls of the forecourt and presumably of c 1834-6 when the house was remodelled for R.J. Blewitt by T.H. Wyatt. The walls front a dry ditch and gates open onto shallow bridges into surrounding pasture. The southwest and southeast corners are treated as polygonal bastions with matching low walls' (Cadw Listed Building Description).
