Unitary authority : Torfaen
NGR : ST30909311

Description :
An OS Record Card notes that the site comprises a 14th century watermill/cornmill noted in a deed of allotment of 1707 as a grist mill in Llantarnampark. However, it also states in a 1960 review that it is of comparatively modern date, and whilst it may occupy the site of a medieval mill, there are no visible indications of this (OS Record Card).

Post-medieval corn mill, fulling mill (Tuck mill) and farmstead, probably on site of monastic mill; demolished and site now cut by Trunk Road. Served by mill races (from Afon Lwyd, Cwm Bran Brook and Dowlais Brook), some sections still operating as watercources, with system of sluices, and a mill pond. Known as Abbey Farm by the late nineteenth century (Procter 2018).
