Hirrole Grange (Neath Abbey) is known from documentary sources (extent of 1296).

Description :
Hirrole Grange (Neath Abbey) is known from documentary sources (extent of 1296). Marked on Rees's map of South Wales and the Borders in 14th century at this location, but OS fieldworkers could find nothing to support this identification (OS card SN 80 SW 5). RCAHMW notes that that it was probably in or to the NW of the Vale of Neath; they identify it with Rheola at SN83850421 (PRN 908w).
