Description :
This stone was described in 1879 as being 3m long and 0.5m square in section (Davies1879, 3) In 1956 it was described by OS fieldworkers as lying 'firmly embedded in the ground with only 1.3m of its length visible'. It had disappeared by the 1970s, and the area is now occupied by gardens. Reference: Davies, J D, 1879, The history of West Gower. GGAT 72.

(1956) The stone lies firmly embedded in the ground with only 1.3m of its length visible. It is almost entirely grass covered and is 0.4m wide. Judging by the visible part, the stone does not appear to be much weathered. (Source 01)
(1976) At Reynoldston a stone about 3m long by 0.5m square was recorded in 1877 (Davies, W. Gower, I, p.3). It was seen, more than half buried, by OS investigators in 1956, but is no longer visible. (Source 05)
(1977) No change. (Source 03)
