Summary : Cave at the base of the cliff NE of Burry Holms. Early discoveries of a bone pin & human skeletal material were followed up by excavation in 1924, found 11 individuals, a Bronze Age sherd & a Roman coin. Excavated again in 1931, found 30 more skeletons.
Description : Cave at the base of the cliff NE of Burry Holms. Early discoveries of a bone pin & human skeletal material were followed up by excavation in 1924, found 11 individuals, a Bronze Age sherd & a Roman coin. Excavated again in 1931, found 30 more skeletons, pottery of Wessex Biconical Urn type, late Celtic female figurine, Early Iron Age A type pottery, two C2nd AD coins, four brooches of C2nd/3rd AD, a glass ring bead, a sheet brass ring & a C9th brooch.
