Description :
A cairn excavated in the centre on the summit of a rocky ridge known as Garn, 350yds SW of Capel Lochwydd, is about 45yds across and one yard high. (RCAHMW, 1937)

Another cairn close to the above is 20yds in circumference and 2 1/2ft high. Good condition, (no trace on OS APs, 1966). <2>

A modern bank of stones at SH 21408276 stands on top of a cairn rim. The rim of the cairn is 9.0m diameter and 0.1m high. There is no trace of a second cairn. <3>

A large cairn on a prominent small cliff promontory with dramatic views to the N over sea and to S towards Trearddwr and Llyn. Seems to have been built of stone, broken off the adjoining knoll. This required considerable construction to make the cairn prominent as the top of the knoll is small. The bulk of the cairn is of quite large stones - smaller pieces have been taken and rebuilt into a shelter wall about 11m diameter. Cairn 1.5 high at N, 3.5 at S. (Smith, 2003)

The monument comprises the remains of a burial cairn, probably dating to the Bronze Age (c.2300 BC - 800 BC) and dramatically situated on the summit of a locally prominent ridge overlooking the cliffs of Gogarth Bay. The stone-built cairn is roughly circular on plan and measures about 15m in diameter. The cairn has been built over the ridge, lending it an impression of greater size: the cairn measures about 0.7m in height on the summit of the ridge, but about 2m in height at its base on the slopes. <5>
