Description :
Earthworks remain on this site, which appears to have developed in the sixteenth century, and had gone out of use by the eighteenth. (Davidson 2002, p.14, 30)

The site of a mill and leat, described as a corn mill in 1596, but appears to have been converted into a fulling mill in the 18th century. The mill is now only visible as a rectangular depression in the ground, but the line of the leat is marked by a significant bank, although this latter may be partly natural (a glacial feature) in origin (Davidson, 1993)
