Description :
Remains of two chambers 30ft apart. W chamber no more than a group of recumbent megaliths that were ruined at least as far back as the late C18th. <1>

E chamber consists of one stone standing 9ft high and two fallen stones nearby. In 1802 it was intact; upper-stone measuring about 3yds across, supported by two uprights. <2>

Ruined by 1825. <3>

Burial chamber near Hen-drefor 1m NNW of church. Possible remains of a mound about 120yds in circumference. (RCAHMW, 1937)

Field investigation report 'not able to recognise this' <5>

Scheduled <6>

The remains of the two burial chambers are as described by Daniel. <7>

As previously described. The 'mound' on which the stones lie is probably just a natural outcrop. Some of the smaller stones around the western group of stones are field clearance dumping. The whole lies on the south end of a small low broad spur, giving panoramic views to SE, S and SW but none to the north. The monument as a whole seems to have been aligned to the ESE, away from the mountain. (Smith, 2003)
