Description :
Maen Addwyn, erect stone 420 yards SSE of church, 10.5ft high, 3ft 4 inches average width and 2ft 10 inches thick. In good condition. (RCAHMW, 1937)

The standing stone is as described. The Headmaster of the school confirmed the spelling of the name. <2>

Appears on manuscript 2" map from which first published 1" OS Map was drawn up as Maen Fably. On the published 1" map, 'Meini addwyn' (presumably including this and Maen Addwyn) is marked further to the north, near Maenaddwyn crossroad. <4> <5>

Short report of limited excavation and discussion of documentary research. <7>

Erect flat slab on roadside - built into wall. 3m high 1.1m wide 0.7 thick - as described by F. Lynch. Now mostly ivy covered - set at centre of a wide natural basin visible from Bodafon Mountain. (Smith, 2003)
