Summary : War memorial to the 23 men from Aberbanc who fell in the First World War with the names of five who died in the Second World War added. It is a life-size white marble sculpture on a black granite square column on a stone plinth. It is located in a prominent position at a road junction.
Description : War memorial to the 23 men from Aberbanc who fell in the First World War with the names of five who died in the Second World War added. It is a life-size white marble sculpture of a soldier holding a rifle with the barrel pointing down. It stands on a black granite square column which rests on a stone plinth surrounded by low iron railings. The inscriptions are on the faces of the granite column. It is located on a large stone-built plinth at a road junction. It was unveiled on 23 September 1923. K Murphy October 2018.
