Summary :
A well-marked mound, though the edges are not always easy to define, almost entirely covered in grass and shrubs, but with a small area in the middle where earth and stone can be seen.

Description :
A well-marked mound, though the edges are not always easy to define, almost entirely covered in grass and shrubs, but with a small area in the middle where earth and stone can be seen. The stone consists of small blocks (<0.2m) of sandstone. On a shelf overlooking the Waun-Fawr Brook/Nant y Pridd valley; situated on the edge of a clear-felled area, next to the junction between two footpaths.(02 Evans)

The monument comprises the remains of a round barrow, a burial mound probably dating to the Bronze Age (c2300 BC - 800 BC) and situated within a clearing within forestry on a slight terrace above the valley containing the Nant y Pridd. The barrow is circular on plan and measures about 16m in diameter and up to 1m in height. (01)
