Summary :
Double-storey pill box, brick built with reinforced concrete, hexagonal in plan with extended foundation forming an additional basement level located in the area of the former Royal Ordnance Factory. The pill box measures 4.7m in height, 4.6m in length and 4m in width. The pillbox was built into the embankment of the Great Western Railway main line to defend the junction with the Vale of Glamorgan line (Cadw 2008).
