Description :
A large circular earthen mound within a field currently under wheat stubble. The mound still stands quite high (1.5m) but its perimeter is ill defined due to the extent of erosion caused by modern ploughing. The mound has no visible ditch or kerbstones and has gently sloping sides. There appears to be a high concentration of river worn cobbles over the mound and the field in general.
Dimensions: diameter 33.5m; height 1.5m
(1957) A grass covered round barrow 30m in diameter and 1m high. It is slightly flattened on top and the perimeter has been spread by ploughing. There is no visible surrounding ditch. It is unlikely to be either a castle site or a windmill stead since it is surrounded in the near distance by considerably higher ground. (Source 02)

(1987) The barrow lies in the Usk valley in the middle of a large field, at present sown with wheat. The field has been ploughed over a long period. The barrow consists of a low, gently sloping mound, c.1.7m high and 28m in diameter. (Source 03)
