Description :
A well-marked oval mound entirely covered in grass apart from an earth fast sandstone slab towards the N side, which stands nearly upright though leaning slightly to the E; it is aligned N-S and measures >1.95m x >0.45m by 0.22m thick. This may be the displaced capstone of a cist; it could possibly be an outcrop of bedrock, with a natural mound built up around it, but this is considered less likely because of its nearly upright orientation. Good view of Mynydd Drummau to N. 10.1m NE-SW x 7.8m, c1.0m high GGAT 72 Prehistoric Funerary and Ritual Sites survey 2001.

(1962) Remains of a round cairn apparently about 25ft in diameter and 3ft high. A stone slab 6ins high x 6ft long a 1ft thick set upright sticks out of the side of it, probably one side of stone cist. (Source 01)
(1985) The cairn is obviously stony, although it is now turf-covered apart from the one large stone standing on edge. The site occupies a hillslope position with wide vistas except to the S. (Source 01)
