Summary :
The low relief and plain edge-moulding decorated Cross-Slab at St Arvan's Church most likely dates to the late tenth or early eleventh century and was found during the restoration of the church in the 1880s. It is now situated at the western end of the southern isle displayed on a free-standing plinth. The slab was in two pieces but has been re-joined, and is missing the upper cross arm. It is 0.91m in height by 0.44m in width and 0.15m in depth. Features include Latin ring-cross with square arms, small circular arm-pits set above a central shaft of plaitwork (Cadw 2011).
