Summary :
Early Christian Monument (RCAHMW 1976, 41, no.869) Cross and grave slab. Pillar-stone with two incised crosses of different periods, the earlier thought to be 7th-8th century date and the later 9th century.

Description :
Early Christian Monument (RCAHMW 1976, 41, no.869) Cross and grave slab. Pillar-stone with two incised crosses of different periods, the earlier thought to be 7th-8th century date and the later 9th century. Standing N of the main road westward from Neath near the site of Court Herbert grange (PRN 904w), in the park of the 19th century Court Herbert mansion. Associated grave slab reputed to have the effigy of the first abbot, removed here from abbey; they may both have been brought in as picturesque embellishments (first mention Archaeologia Cambrensis 1876, 35)
