Description :
A roughly oval low mound strewn with stones, mostly very small worn and rounded pieces of sandstone, but with a few larger blocks, of which the largest is 0.9x0.65m. It is not certain whether it was funerary, but the fact that it is much larger than the usual clearance heap and seems to be composed of small compacted pieces of sandstone perhaps argues for the fact that it is. Close to the standing stone Maen Bredwen (PRN 581w) and may form a complex (PRN 05036w) with it. 18.8m E-W x 13.0m; height c0.4m GGAT 72 Prehistoric Funerary and Ritual Sites survey 2001. (1956) A partly grass covered cairn with a diameter of 19.0m and a height of 0.5m. It is mutilated. ( Source 06 )
(1961) Condition as described in 1956 except that it is elongated in an east west direction , axes 20.0m and 14.0m ( Source 01 )
( 1982 ? ) A pear-shaped stony mound , 21m long by 14.3m maximum width, raised about 0.6m above the general field level at Mynydd Drumau. Probably stones from field clearance. ( Source 07 )
