Description :
A well-marked mound covered in grass apart from the centre, where the remains of a central cist appear. This has been filled with flat slabs of sandstone up to 0.5m across, but on the NE side is the top of what may have been part of the lining of the cist, an earthfast nearly vertical slab 0.35m wide. The central area of stone covers a roughly rectangular area 1.8m NE-SW x 1.0m. A couple of large slabs can be seen on the edge of the N side of the mound, but it is not clear if these are kerbstones. An iron marker post marked D on the NE side and W on the SW side is driven into the mound just to the SE of the centre. Situated towards the end of a ride near its junction with a track. The RCAHMW description of 1958 describes a capstone measuring 1.2m by 0.9m over the filled-in cist, noted by them as measuring probably about 1.2m square. The site now lies in forestry, towards the end of a ride near its junction with a trackway. 10.1m diameter; c0.9m high GGAT 72 Prehistoric Funerary and Ritual Sites survey 2001.
