Description :
A ring cairn defined by a grass-covered stony bank 3.6m wide. The constituent stones, where visible, consists of sandstone blocks and slabs up to 0.4m across, and the bank was noted by RCAHMW in 1962 to be 'mainly composed of slabs lying flat'. Main bank is oval, with a 9m gap on N side where it appears to have been destroyed. At the W side is another gap, 2m wide; the bank appears to have been squared off either side, especially the N. A short distance N of this are traces of another bank branching off from the E side of the main bank and running to the S of the gap, though it does not survive at the point where it would be expected to meet the W side of the main bank; this reduces the length of the monument N-S to 14.9m. 19.0m NE-SW x 16.8m, height c 0.6m max GGAT 72 Prehistoric Funerary and Ritual Sites survey 2001.

(1962/1976) Ring cairn N.E. of Coed -Du, at just over 300 m above O.D.The ring is 13.7 m in internal diameter and is best preserved on the E. and S.E. where it is defined by a stony bank 1.8 - 2.1 m wide and 0.3 m high, mainly composed of slabs lying flat. Elsewhere the bank is spread and overgrown, and on the N, is absent for a distance of 4.6 m , perhaps indicating the position of an entrance. ( Source 01 )
(1982) Ring cairn . No change. ( Source 07 )
