Description :
Camp has been constructed from a natural prominence, the quarry in the centre showing solid sandstone beneath a 3inch topsoil. The slopes have been scarped.

The site is situated on the ridge top between the Usk Valley and the Sor Brook Valley. It is small, of a roughly circular shape containing a much later, disused quarry within the internal area.
This area is enclosed within a double defence, this is not particularly pronounced, perhaps having been ploughed down. A wide berm exists between the first and second rampart at the south end. The only entrance noted is at the southeast angle, this is probably original. (Wiggins 2006)
