Description :
A small spur, outlined by contours. The end rises in a knoll which is naturally defensible, & this has been fortified by a single rampart to form a D-shape.

7km NE of Bridgend. A small spur, outlined by the contours and about 180m above OD projects S from higher ground. The end rises in a knoll which is naturally defensible, and this has been fortified by a single rampart to form a D-shaped enclosure measuring about 75m N-S by 65m, with a straight E side, enclosing 0.4ha. A terraced cart-track 15m wide enters at the SE angle, possibly on the site of the original entrance. For most of the circuit the rampart appears as a scarp about 3m high, but on the N it forms a bank, of similar height externally, rising about 1m above the interior and measuring about 12m wide overall. It is composed of earth and rubble, with no revetment visible. There is no ditch. (Wiggins and Evans 2005)
