Description :
Standing stone formed of a coarse sandstone block of triangular section tapering to a blunt point at the top and leaning to the SE. A thin slab of sandstone (0.35x0.10m and 0.4m high immediately adjacent to the base of the stone on the W side either may be a packing slab or may have become detached from the main block. At the bottom of a hillslope overlooking the same stretch of marshy ground where 165m is located. Dimensions: 1.0m (SE) x 0.85m (SW) x 0.4m (N); height 1.85m
(1956) This stone has a height of 2.0m above ground level and has base measurements of 1.3x0.8m. It is pointed and has a slight lan to the south. There is no trace of an associated mound or of other stones in the vicinity. (Source 02)
(1963/1976) On ground falling gently to the S. A pointed monolith, leaning slightly to the S; 2m high, with rectangular base measuring 1.3m x 0.8m. (Source 01)
(1986) The stone is standing in a grass field, just west of a farm shed. It is 2m high, and leans towards the south. It is triangular in section, with sides approx 0,6m across, tapering towards the top. These are no signs of any markings. (Source 06)
