Description :
A circular cairn situated in dense forestry with a well-defined perimeter and evidence for a ditch or kerbstones. The cairn has a highly disturbed interior with many slight depressions. 3 large limestone boulders define the centre of the mound. The cairn's sides are short but quite steep and indicate that the cairn stood much higher and is now heavily disturbed. The cairn is composed of many boulder-sized stones and has had many pine trees growing within its perimeter, although only 3 trees remain. The general area of forestry is currently being harvested; the mound has been fenced off with high visibility tape.
Dimensions: diameter 10m; height 1m (centre) x 0.6m (sides)
(1957) Group of four cairns (with 138G, 140-41G).
139G (ST 25109278): This has been decapitated and has a diameter of 10m and a height of 0.4m. Partly grass covered. (Source 01)

(1962) A group of four cairns, at least three of which appear to be ditched, while the largest appears to be a fine bell barrow of the 'Wessex Culture'. (Source 04)
