Description :
A large bell shaped mound situated in dense forestry standing quite high and with a regularly defined perimeter; no ditch or kerbstones were evident. The top of the mound has been excavated to a depth of 2m, recent colluvial movements have exposed a predominantly stone layered internal construction. The top of the mound is moss and grass covered while the rest of the mound, shielded from the sun by the forestry plantation, is covered in leaf litter. The general area of forestry is currently being harvested; the mound has been fenced off with high visibility tape.
