Description :
A circular mound, almost entirely grass-grown but with some stone (sandstone) showing through especially in the middle around the cist. The cist measures 1.3m N-S x 1.0m and 0.6m deep. All sides except the W retain all or part of the stone slab lining; the E side consists of a single sandstone slab 0.10m thick; the N and S sides have slabs of the same thickness and c0.5m wide at their E ends, S side has a second slab 0.35x0.5m (too short to reach to the bottom of the cist) next to the main slab which may be part of lining but seems more likely to have slipped in from above. RCAHMW reported in 1966 that 'the end slabs only are in situ; one of the side slabs has been re-erected in a wrong position', but this would seem to be a mistake as what remains of the structure appears to be in its right position and not to have been disturbed in any way. The capstone does not survive. This cairn is not intervisible with PRN 42m. Dimensions: 8.1m diameter, c1.0m high
(1966/1976) On ground falling gently to the SE, with wide views to S and E. A circular grass-grown mound of earth and stones, 7.6m in diameter and 0.6m high. At the centre is a wrecked cist, 1.4m long E-W and about 0.9m wide and 0.8m deep. The end slabs only are in situ; one of the side slabs has been re-erected in a wrong position; the other is missing and may be a slab lying on the ground a short distance away. The capstone also is missing. (Source 01)
(1982) No change (Source 04)
