Description : At Cae Manl, Llanallgo (SH 502847) a previously unrecorded hut group was found during development. An enclosed hut group, with rectilinear enclosure walls and rectangular internal structures besides at least one hut circle, which appear to be constructed partly of large boulders placed on end. Classed as Roman. (Livens, 1962)
Two hut circles and several fragmentary walls represent a settlemenet at SH 50178466.
The N hut circle at SH 50178467 is 9.0m in diameter and up to 1.2m high consisting of rubble walling with no upright stones. An entrance is in the E side.
A second hut circle at SH 50188465 is 5.0m in diameter and up to 0.4m high and consists of grass covered rubble again with an entrance on the E side. Surveyed 1:2500. <2>
The remains of two circular huts, now lying inside a caravan park. To the S on ground sloping to the S, are the grassed over remains of a circular bank, c.0.2m high and giving an internal diameter of c.4m. The entrance is on the E side.
Some 30m to the NW are the remains of another hut situated in dense alder scrub. The hut walls is of stone, c.0.7m high and 1m wide, and the internal diameter of the hut is 7m. The entrance faces E.
Six metres NNE of this hut are 3 upright stones, 0.5 - 0.8m high, which appear to form part of a stone bank which runs NNE-SSW and adjoins the W wall of the hut. In addition these three stones could mark the site of another hut. <3>
