Description : Maen hir 4ft high by 5 3/4ft by 1 1/3ft with packing stones, 180yds SW of Bryn Celli Ddu burial chamber. (RCAHMW, 1937)
A large boulder as described, but the 'packing stones' look more like field clearance. See G P. Surveyed at 1:2500. <2>
A standing stone 1.68m wide by 1.25 high by 0.5m thick. There is some erosion around the base, exposing a number of packing stones. Aligned NW-SE. This stone is unusual amongst the standing stones of Anglesey being greater in width than in height. It would appear to be in line with and share the same alignment as, the passage of the nearby chambered cairn which lies 150m to ENE. <3>
Unusually squat standing stone only 1.25m high slightly rounded slab wider than it is high. Stones around base appear to be field clearance. Siting on a hillslope to the SW of Bryn Celli Ddu burial chamber. (Smith, 2003)
