Description : Maen hir 10ft high by 3ft by 1 1/4ft with packing stones on an outcrop 500yds NW of Bryn-Celli-Ddu chamber (PRN 2964). (RCAHMW, 1937)
Surveyed at 1:2500. Stone as described. <2>
A standing stone 2.9m high by 0.7m by 0.3m. A large number of boulders are piled up around the stones base. The farmer claims that this stone is resting on bedrock and that there is very little earth cover to support the stone. <3>
Tall, narrow, tapering standing stone apparently set into a hole or socket in the bedrock. Surrounded by a large pile of field clearance. Not intervisible with burial chamber or other standing (2710) stone. Cairn visible (2708). (Smith, 2003)
