Description : Maen Hir 2/3 miles SW of the church on a conspicuous position above Cadnant. 9.5ft high by 3.25ft wide by 1ft thick, with some packing stones exposed at base. (RCAHMW, 1937)
The standing stone is 3m high, 0.8m wide and 0.3m thick. Surveyed at 25". <2>
A standing stone situated on top of a low hill measuring 3.1m high by 0.8m by 0.35m. There has been some slight erosion around the base of the stone, but this is not severe and is now grassed over. A large buried stone is visible at the base of the standing stone. <3>
The stone is as described, although I made the height closer to 2.9m. <5>
Fairly narrow tapering slab standing just to the SW of a local summit above Cadnant. Visible on skyline, from most angles but seems to be most prominent from W & SW. Slight erosion around the base revealing packing stones and one large mainly buried block or slab 0.6 x 0.4m. Lower part of stone slightly polished by stock rubbing. (Smith, 2003)
