Description :
Oval enclosure on a limestone ridge set back a few yards from escarpment. About 100ft by 85ft, open to the north and with a circular hut attached on the west. There are remains of at least two circular huts in the interior. The walls consist of a single line of massive uprights with a stony bank at their base. Condition: good. <1>

The hut group SH 49008508 is generally as described by the RCAHM only two hut circles now being discernible. Surveyed at 1:2500. <2>

An enclosed hut group of class 2b with stone-walled enclosures and terraced fields of the later 2nd to 5th centuries AD. <3>

Oval enclosed hut group with the long axis orientated NS. The east and south enclosure walls remain, and a part of the west wall, which are visible as lines of orthostats in low stone banks. Two huts are visible, one in the south corner of which only the south side remains, and one to the west which is in better condition. The remains of another structure lie to the NE. A modern farm track passes through the west side of the monument utilising the original entrance as marked by the RCAHM. The areas SE and west of the monument are overgrown with thorn scrub. <5>

“a number of the Cytiau Gwyddellhod of a more perfect form and larger dimensions than any we had yet seen. They appear to be surrounded by a breast work of massive stones stuck edgeways in the ground.” (Skinner, 1802) (Sketch on p. 80).
