Enclosed Hut Group, Bwlch-y-dafarn

Description : About 700 yards SW of Din Lligwy bounded by ruined walls on the SE and SW sides and by a cliff edge on the W; the N side is incomplete, the wall only running half way, where it turns in towards the centre of the enclosure and divides it into two roughly equal parts. The corners are truncated by diagonal walls of varying length. Inside the east half of the settlement are the foundations of one or more circular huts and of two oblong buildings about 45-50ft long by about 20ft wide. The circular hut had a roughly paved floor on which were found fragments of RB pottery; similar fragments came from the more easterly of the two oblong buildings. Condition: much ruined. <1>
Fragmentary remains of roughly rectangular enclosure with sharp square corners closely resembling Din Lligwy in form and situation. It is 56.0m long, 36m wide orientated NNE-SSW with banks and remains of walling up to 0.7m high. A well-defined hut circle 6m in diameter and remains of two rectangular buildings are visible in the interior. There is now no evidence to suggest that the enclosure continued to the west, as implied by RCAHM. Surveyed at 1:2500. <2>

As described except south wall appears to run farther east than the projected SE corner. <5>
