Description :
A small hillfort on the edge of a small precipice. Three stony banks formerly terminating at the cliff edge are now cut off by a modern road on the north and walls to the E and W. Containing semicircular area c.260 x 114ft. The banks represent collapsed walls: small section of a fourth bank exists on the east. Three in situ facing stones near the entrance on third bank survive. Entrance itself is zigzagged. (RCAHMW, 1937)

Outer banks considerably denuded. <2> (1967)

Condition unchanged 1970. <3>

Scrub growth and smaller trees removed by NACRO scheme April 1986, contour survey of the site prepared. <4>

Not visited. (Smith, 2005)

A hillfort defined by three or more banks representing tumbled stone walls. It occupies the summit of a north-east to south-west ridge and backs up against the lip of the long cliff that forms the ridge's northern edge. The ruined walls enclose an elongated area some 80m by 36m. There is a single entrance in the long south-eastern facade, to which the outer walls allow only a staggered approach. A road, the A4080, running along the summit of the cliff line has obscured part of the fort. (Cooke, 2013)
