Maen Llwyd standing stone/boulder

Description : An irregular shaped boulder 1.5m high now covered by trees. Assumed moved or destroyed.
Scheduling revised in December 1999. Previously scheduled as part of Bryn Beddau round barrows (De040), but now scheduled as separate monument (Cadw, 1999).
The boulder is massive, and is probably recumbent. Dimensions 3.25m long, 2.3m wide, 1.45m high (recumbent dimensions) The longest axis is aligned E-W. Stone is grey in colour.The E end is becoming overgrown with tussock grass but W end (the thick end) is clear. stone stands in a clear area surrounded mainly by birch trees (CPAT 2002)
